As an excellent rider and passionate about nature, Maurice Taquoy was inspired in the forest of Fontainebleau and the plain Briarde. Initiated to color engraving by Maurice Boutet de Monvel, he created elegant etchings and aquatints mainly devoted to hunting scenes and horse races.
