A nice impression on Japan paper, signed in pencil, titled and numbered 13/50

Ethelbert White was an early member of the Society of Wood Engravers and a founder member of the English Wood Engraving Society in 1925. He also worked in oils and water colour. He used to share an unconventional way of life with his wife, with whom he travelled around countryside in their gypsy caravan, Ethelbert producing paintings of village life and his wife playing the lute.
