Impression on laid paper, plate of the book Variae architecturae formae, from the second edition by Jan Galle (1600-1676), Antwerp, vers 1636-1640. In this edition, the views of building interiors, courtyards, and city streets with canals are placed within oval frames set in rectangles, the corners of which are filled with ornament of various sorts.
