Impression on Japan paper, signed Ry?ry?kyo Shinsai ga. On the reverse, stamp of the gallery Berès.

This is a kyoka surimono, a print accompanied by kyoka, satirical and humorous poems. These prints were produced in limited quantities by associations of specialized poets. Pairing their poems with prints was a way to make them known.

Sheet: shikishiban (189 x 173 mm)

Condition: light-staining, wormhole restored, some soilings.
