André Deslignères was a painter, watercolorist and engraver born in Nevers (France). At the time, he was famous for his prints and book's illustrations. He illustrated several books (Les Amours Jaunes by Tristan Corbière, Rémi des Rauches by Maurice Genevoix, la Maison de Claudine by Colette) and was remarkable in the art of engraving the wood or the metal.
