A nice impression on laid paper, third state (on three)
Originally from Lyon but living most of his life in Italy, Adrien Manglard is a painter-engraver who has mainly engraved landscapes and marines. In a style recording Claude Gellée's and Salvator Rosa's art, his etchings show a striking chiaroscuro. Adrien Manglard is also known as Joseph Vernet's master (1714 - 1789).
